Pascual Toso named ‘Argentine Wine Producer Of The Year’ In IWSC Trophy 2016

Pascual Toso, one of the oldest Mendoza-based bodegas in Argentina, have won ‘Argentine Wine of Producer of the Year 2016’ at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Celebrating their 125th anniversary this year, this is a fantastic achievement for this prestigious winery.
These awards set the international benchmark for quality and have remained unique in the crowded world of drinks competitions with dedicated tasting premises, a permanent onsite cellar and over 400 global experts judging products for 7 months of the year.

On a recent trip to the UK to introduce media and customers to the range Felipe Stahlschmidt, chief wine maker, said he was looking to innovation to boost the range of white and red wines.
“Innovation is key – it is important to do your homework, the market is not staying the same, it has changed, so we need to study, and see what works best for us and our consumers,” he explained, adding that because Pascual Toso was a traditional winery, it was about evolving the style slowly.
